Parlay Research vs Builder
Two ways to build parlays — browse pre-built combos or construct your own.
Written by Brad
ParlayPlug has two surfaces for working with parlays. They serve different purposes.
Parlay Research
On the Home tab, scroll to the Parlay Research section and tap See all. This takes you to the Parlays page.
Here you'll find pre-built parlay combinations with data on how often they would have hit historically. Use the filters:
- Sports — Filter to specific leagues
- Leg odds — Minimum odds per leg
- Min parlay odds — Minimum combined odds
Sort options:
- Highest / Lowest Odds
- Best / Worst Hit Rate
This is useful when you want inspiration or want to see what combinations are statistically interesting.
Builder
Tap the Builder tab (header shows Build Parlay) to construct your own parlay from scratch.
The workflow:
- Browse games and players
- Tap odds to add legs to your Bet Slip
- Open the Bet Slip to see your parlay
In the Bet Slip, you'll see:
- Clear — Remove all selections
- Your book — Odds at your selected sportsbook
- Exchange — Odds at betting exchanges (like Novig) for comparison
- Hit Rate — Historical hit rate for this combination
Note: same-game parlays are priced as separate bets. The hit rate calculation treats each leg independently.
When to use which
- Parlay Research — When you want to browse ideas and see what's hitting
- Builder — When you know what you want to bet and need to build it yourself
